All planners are invited to the YPG Fall Conference Reception on Thursday, September 27, 2012, 7:00pm – 10:00 PM. This event will be at The Loft Upstairs, 1032 Broadway Avenue, Uptown Columbus, GA.
YPG’s Pathway to Planning Profession conference session will help bridge the gap between the academic environment and the professional planning world through discussion between seasoned professionals and young planners / students. A panel of experienced planners will provide their expertise for making headway into the profession. The experts come from the public sector, private sector, and small and large planning firms. Young planners will learn about improving communication and networking skills, applying for jobs, outreach to future clients, marketing, community presentations, and facilitating public workshops.
All planners are invited to join the GPA Young Planners Group for a tour of the Gulch area in downtown Atlanta and a presentation on the multi-modal passenger terminal (MMPT). The proposed MMPT will serve as a hub for existing and future transit systems and will also serve as a catalyst for development in the area. The tour will take place on the evening of Thursday, May 24th, beginning at 5:30.
The 2012 Spring Conference will offer up to 6.25 CM credits, with optional mobile workshops at up to 2.5 CM credits each. Come one; come all to GPA’s Spring Conference 2012, to be held at the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter at Ravinia in Dunwoody, GA on March 21, 2012.
You’re invited to our Winter 2012 Happy Hour, held in conjunction with the GPA AICP Exam Preparation Review Session. This is our third year hosting this combined event with GPA and we’ve had a great turnout the past two years. The Winter Happy Hour will follow the first day of the AICP exam prep review session. All planners and planning students are invited to attend.
Please join the GPA Young Planners Group for a happy hour at Churchill’s Pub & Restaurant during the GPA 2011 Fall Conference in Savannah. After the GPA reception on Thursday evening, we’ll head over to Churchill’s where everyone can unwind, grab a drink, and meet planners from throughout Georgia.
Please join us and our selected panelists as we discuss the Georgia State Water Plan and its impact on water planning practices.

Come one, come all to GPA’s Spring Conference 2011, to be held at the Wyndham Peachtree Conference Center in Peachtree City, May 12th and 13th. It’s time for our regular gathering to learn from one another, build on our professional talents and discuss the issues facing our communities both today and tomorrow. Young planners are encouraged to attend as well as to submit session proposals for the conference.
All GPA planners are invited to our next GPA/YPG event on Wednesday, March 30th at the Historic Fourth Ward Park in Atlanta.
